Recia
Fontshare · Carlos De Toro · 2021

A contemporary serif from Indian Type Foundry with wedge-shaped serifs, a high x-height and true italics, designed for demanding text settings.
About
Designed by Carlos De Toro as his debut with ITF, Recia is a contemporary serif built for continuous reading in conditions where sturdy letterforms are needed, such as low-quality print. Stroke contrast is deliberately restrained in lighter weights but becomes more legible in Bold, while the thicker strokes remain chunky throughout. The five italic styles are true italics with a cursive structure, and the family includes proportional oldstyle figures as the default numeral style via OpenType.
Classification
Classified as serif on Fontshare; features wedge-shaped serifs, high x-height, slightly condensed proportions and low stroke contrast, placing it in the contemporary or transitional serif camp rather than a classical oldstyle.
