A modernist sans from Indian Type Foundry that mixes grotesque letterforms with geometric influences, released free via Fontshare.
About
Designed by Indian Type Foundry and debuted on Fontshare in March 2021, it spans five weights from Light to Black with matching italics and a variable axis. The design draws on modernist and industrial-era typography, with double-storey 'a' and 'g' as defaults, single-storey alternates via OpenType, and a full suite of numeral styles including tabular figures and fraction components. Suited to branding, editorial and poster work where a clean but not sterile grotesque is needed.
Classification
Satoshi blends grotesque letterforms with geometric construction, placing it at the intersection of those two traditions. Double-storey 'a' and 'g' are default but single-storey alternates are available, reinforcing the geometric influence.
