Described by Fontwerk as a homage rather than a revival, the collection covers six sub-families: the base Tausend, a Plakat variant optimised for large-scale setting, softened Soft and Plakat Soft cuts, a Stencil and a Shaded. Ten weights run from Thin through to TooBlack across most families, giving considerable range for poster, headline and display work. The decorative Shaded and Stencil variants extend the collection into more expressive territory while the Soft cuts offer a warmer, less rigid alternative to the standard grotesque forms.
