Designed by Pria Ravichandran with Latin support from Kostas Bartsokas, Peridot Devanagari is a substantial multi-script type system spanning 20 static styles across 10 weights with matching italics and six widths, all available in variable format. The family supports Devanagari and Latin across more than 330 languages, with localised variants, tabular numerals, fractions and discretionary ligatures built in. It received the Award of Excellence at the Communication Arts Typography Competition 2024 and an EBGE award for original typeface at the Greek Communication Design Awards 2023.
Classification
A multi-script sans serif system with humanist proportions, designed to work cohesively across Devanagari and Latin scripts with a full weight and width range.
