Designed by Pria Ravichandran with Latin contributions from Kostas Bartsokas, Peridot Tamil pairs Tamil and Latin scripts in a single cohesive system. The family spans 10 weights with matching italics, six width variants and full variable format support, making it suitable for branding, editorial, advertising and screen work. It was awarded the EBGE Original Typeface award at the Greek Communication Design Awards 2023 and an Award of Excellence at Communication Arts Typography Competition 2024.
Classification
A multi-script sans serif system with humanist proportions, designed to function across Tamil and Latin scripts with extensive weight and width range. The Tamil script was designed specifically by Pria Ravichandran.
