Copperscript
G-Type · Nick Cooke

A constructed Copperplate Script by Nick Cooke, derived from English Roundhand and updated with a modern weight axis and contextual lead-in and end characters.
About
Built on the tradition of English Roundhand, the design runs across six weights from ExtraLight to ExtraBold, with a variable font bundled in the family pack for infinite intermediate steps. Contextual alternates trigger lead-in and end characters automatically, and three stylistic sets offer alternate capitals, plus variants for the lowercase 'r' and 'z'. Directional arrows and an extended Latin character set with broad European language coverage round out a practical formal script for display and packaging work.
Classification
A constructed Copperplate Script derived from English Roundhand, placing it firmly in the formal script tradition with deliberate structural modernity applied over the archaic style.
