Drawn from Nick Cooke's encounter with Secession-era work at Vienna's Museum of Applied Arts, Exentrica distils the movement's typographic character into a family that runs from Thin to Medium in both Monoline and Contrast cuts. Seven stylistic sets, contextual alternates and discretionary ligatures give designers a wide platform for typographic experimentation, with all style sets designed to work together in combination. A variable version is included free with the full family purchase.
Classification
Exentrica draws directly from Viennese Secession typography of 1898–1903, placing it firmly in the art nouveau display tradition with its decorative stylistic alternates and contrast between monoline and high-contrast stroke variants.
