Nick Cooke derived Gatterberg from lettering on a family crypt in Salzburg, where he found slab serif capitals sitting alongside a sans serif lowercase, a combination he initially misremembered as a conventional serif. The four upright styles run from Thin to Bold with no italic, and the family includes small caps, alternates for G, J and g, and two stylistic sets. A variable font is bundled with the family pack, and language coverage spans West European, Central and East European, Baltic and Turkish scripts.
