Designed by Daniel Perraudin and Alexander Roth, Golt takes its proportions and details from Berlin's layered typographic history, including Erbar Grotesk, Thannhäuser's street sign letterforms and Andreas Frohloff's 1990s revision. Characteristic details include sharp vertical stroke terminals, a wide open G modelled on the Gneisenaustraße metro lettering, an angled t crossbar and a straight-descender alternate for the lowercase y. Nine weights from Hairline to Black are available as static fonts and as a variable font, with broad Latin language coverage spanning over 100 languages.
