About

ADLaM Display is one of very few typefaces to support the ADLaM script, which was created by Ibrahima and Abdoulaye Barry to write the Fula language. Its display orientation makes it best suited to headlines, titles, and cultural materials rather than extended body text. The font represents an important step in digital inclusion for West African languages.

Classification

ADLaM Display is designed primarily to support the Fula language using the ADLaM script, a relatively new alphabet developed in the late 1980s. The Latin companion follows a display serif style with moderate contrast.
