Miltonian's letterforms are so elaborately detailed that legibility at small sizes is essentially abandoned in favour of visual impact. It suits drop caps, monogram design, certificates, and heritage-themed branding where a single decorative initial is the centrepiece. Practically a one-trick font, but it performs that trick with considerable craft.
Classification
Miltonian presents heavily decorative capital letterforms inspired by Victorian and medieval illuminated lettering, with intricate inline and outline detail. It reads more as graphic ornament than functional text type.
