A minimal, single-weight typeface encoding the ancient Avestan script for scholarly and liturgical digital publishing.

About

Noto Sans Avestan addresses the Unicode encoding of the Avestan script, used historically for transcribing Zoroastrian religious texts. Available in a single weight only, its application is inherently narrow, serving academic linguistics, historical research, and religious publishing. The design follows the Noto philosophy of neutral legibility, keeping ornamentation to a minimum.
