Pochaevsk specimen from Google Fonts

A historically inflected Cyrillic display face steeped in ecclesiastical blackletter tradition, bold and ornate in character.

About

Pochaevsk takes its cues from pre-modern Cyrillic manuscript and liturgical printing traditions, resulting in a typeface with genuine historical depth and strong decorative presence. It is best deployed at large sizes for posters, cultural branding, album artwork, or editorial contexts where a sense of Slavic heritage or vintage gravitas is called for. Its Latin counterpart maintains stylistic harmony, though Cyrillic is clearly the primary script in terms of design priority.

Classification

Pochaevsk is a display typeface drawing on the tradition of Cyrillic ecclesiastical and historical letterforms, with strong blackletter and uncial influences rendered for both Cyrillic and Latin scripts. Its ornate, dense strokes are firmly display-only in intent.
