Protest Riot pushes the family's rough aesthetic to its furthest extreme, with textures and edges that suggest wear, urgency, and disorder. At large sizes it reads as confrontational and visceral, making it suited to music event posters, zine covers, and editorial projects with a rebellious tone. It is a one-trick face, but it does that trick convincingly.
Classification
Protest Riot takes the protest-lettering concept toward a rougher, more chaotic expression with heavily textured strokes and distressed edges. The overall effect is more aggressive and visually fragmented than the other faces in the series.
