A practical humanist sans built to sit comfortably across Devanagari and Latin scripts with consistent weight and rhythm.
About
Sarala fills a genuine gap by offering a coherent sans serif system for Devanagari–Latin bilingual typesetting, where typeface mismatches are common and disruptive. Its design is deliberately restrained, prioritising functional harmony over stylistic ambition, which makes it well suited to body text in apps, websites, and documents requiring both scripts. The limited two-weight offering is a constraint, but within its scope it does the job reliably.
Classification
Sarala is a humanist sans serif designed to harmonise Devanagari and Latin scripts within a shared typographic colour and weight. It is functional and unpretentious, designed around the practical needs of bilingual typography.
