Workbench
Google Fonts · Agyei Archer · 2022

A segmented-display monospace that faithfully recreates the aesthetic of vintage LED readouts and dot-matrix panels.
About
Workbench is built around the visual language of electronic scoreboard and calculator displays, with every letterform constructed from rigid horizontal and vertical segments. Its appeal is entirely contextual — best deployed for headlines, gaming interfaces, or retro-themed branding where that lo-fi digital aesthetic is the point. It carries no ambiguity about its purpose and should be used sparingly.
Classification
Workbench simulates a segmented LED or dot-matrix display, with each character constructed from discrete rectangular segments. It is a single-weight novelty face designed purely for thematic effect.
