G2 Kosmos
Gruppo Due · Moritz Appich, Bruno Jacoby · 2019

A monoline geometric sans built on the same grid system artist Wolfgang Schmidt used for his Lebenszeichen symbols, first drawn as a 2019 diploma project and since redrawn for wider commercial release.
About
The letterforms follow a strict geometric grid but bend away from it where optical smoothness demands, giving the face a more fluid quality than pure constructed sans designs. It comes in two cuts, Regular and Extended, with stylistic alternates that revert to the more rigid grid-faithful forms as a nod to the original diploma design. Coverage is broad across Latin Extended, with tabular figures, fractions, ordinals and a range of currency symbols included.
Classification
A monoline geometric sans built on a strict grid system, with deliberately smooth letterforms that depart from the grid where needed for optical flow. Its construction logic is closely related to symbol-making rather than calligraphic tradition.
