The Shady Street Show Band
Herzberg Design · Herzberg Design

A vaudeville Victorian logotype designed for a New Jersey rhythm and roots band, built around warm, funky letterforms and a dark red, creme and charcoal palette.
About
Created as part of a broader rebranding project for The Shady Street Show Band of Asbury Park, NJ, the logotype draws on late 19th and early 20th century historical styles to produce a decorative Victorian lockup. The family includes a compact monogram variant for contexts where the full wordmark is too large, alongside an ornamental business card and electronic press kit. The warm palette and period-influenced forms are aimed squarely at the band's roots and rhythm identity.
Classification
The letterforms are described as vaudeville Victorian in style, drawing on late 19th and early 20th century historical references with warm, decorative qualities typical of Victorian display typography.
