Pneumatica

A narrow, dark grotesque with rounded stroke endings and variable axes for weight, width and slant, plus cursive OpenType alternates.
About
Pneumatica pairs smooth external curves with rectangular countershapes that optically soften at text sizes, a formal tension shared with Hipertipo's Synthetica. The variable design runs a weight axis from normal to extra heavy, a width axis, and a slant axis up to 11 degrees. Cursive alternates for individual glyphs such as a, f, l, w and y can be switched on via OpenType stylistic sets.
Classification
A narrow, dark grotesque with rounded stroke endings and rectangular countershapes, placing it firmly in the grotesque sans tradition with a contemporary variable-font approach.
