Quantica

A variable sans serif by Hipertipo built for screen legibility, offering weight, width, contrast and slant axes alongside optional cursive alternates.
About
Designed with open forms, a large x-height, low contrast and vertical stroke endings, Quantica prioritises readability at screen sizes. The family is driven by four variation axes: weight, width, a contrast axis that introduces stroke modulation as point size increases, and a slant axis that adds cursiveness to the italic. Optional cursive alternate glyphs for a, f, l and y can be activated via OpenType stylistic sets.
Classification
Quantica is a contemporary sans serif with open forms, large x-height, low contrast and vertical stroke endings characteristic of screen-optimised humanist sans designs. The variable contrast axis adds stroke modulation at larger sizes, placing it closer to humanist than geometric conventions.
