A display family by Jonathan Hoefler that draws on the high-contrast, inline didones used on nineteenth-century playbills, currency engraving and certificates. Cyclone is built as a layered set so designers can stack colours and shadows to recreate the chromatic look of period letterpress. Intended for posters, packaging and editorial work where the typography is meant to be the ornament, not the messenger.
