A fat face display by Jonathan Hoefler, drawing on the heaviest didones of early-nineteenth-century English commercial printing. Giant pushes the contrast to the extreme, with thick verticals and fine hairlines tuned for very large sizes. Single weight with an italic, intended for posters, packaging and editorial headlines where the typography is the picture rather than the messenger. Reads as Victorian, theatrical and confidently old.
