Gotham Rounded specimen from Hoefler & Co

A rounded sibling of Gotham from Tobias Frere-Jones, softening the geometric sans for packaging, signage and friendlier identities.

About

A rounded companion to Gotham by Tobias Frere-Jones, sharing the parent family's proportions and weights but trading the squared terminals for cleanly rounded ends. Five weights from Light to Black with matching italics, plus a Screensmart cut for interface use. Gotham Rounded sits where the original Gotham feels too formal: kids' brands, consumer packaging, sports leisurewear, friendlier corporate identities. It keeps the New York vernacular bones of Gotham while reading warmer and more approachable.

Classification

H&Co classify Gotham Rounded as a softened sibling of Gotham, with rounded terminals across the same proportions and weights. Aimed at packaging, signage and identities where the harder edge of Gotham feels too austere.
