Mercury Display specimen from Hoefler & Co

The display cut of Mercury, drawn for headlines and editorial titling with finer hairlines and sharper detail than the text family.

About

A display serif by Jonathan Hoefler, Tobias Frere-Jones and the H&Co studio, drawn as the headline complement to Mercury Text. Sharper serifs, finer hairlines and tighter spacing make it suited to newspaper mastheads, magazine titles and editorial spreads where the text family would feel soft. Four weights with italics keep it usable for full headline hierarchies.

Classification

The display cut of the Mercury system, drawn for large sizes with finer hairlines and sharper detail than the text family.
