About
Adam Katyi developed Mohol for the László Moholy-Nagy Design Grant in 2016, completing it for release in late 2018. The concept stems from a single question: how to draw a mono-linear sans with a classical broad nib pen, answered by restricting all strokes to strictly vertical or horizontal pen angles. The result is a sans with an unexpected rhythm of contrast that nods to Bauhaus constructivism without directly imitating it, available in twelve styles across six weights with matching slanted cuts.
