The Extra Narrow subfamily sits within the Hurme FIN 1a family, a simplified monolinear grotesque spanning nine widths from Compressed to Expanded and eight weights from Hairline to Black. Horizontal stroke terminals and a proportionally increasing x-height towards the narrower variants characterise the design. Each purchase of FIN 1a includes corresponding weights of FIN 1b, an alternative with angular, monospace-inspired characters and slab serifs.
