Nomos Slab

A low-contrast brutalist slab serif with 18 styles and a variable axis, built around blunt diagonal-to-vertical stem junctions and simple, functional letterforms.
About
Part of the Nomos superfamily, this slab variant takes a brutalist approach with minimal stroke contrast and abrupt stem transitions that reference both classic modernism and contemporary digital aesthetics. The family spans nine weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, plus full variable font support covering the entire weight range in both uprights and italics. Over 1,000 characters cover Latin Extended with OpenType features including small capitals, oldstyle figures, proportional figures and alternative single-storey forms.
Classification
A low-contrast slab serif with blunt, angular construction that merges grotesque proportions with slab serifs, rooted in modernist and brutalist aesthetics rather than classical serif traditions.
