An angular variable display family built on a rectangular frame, shifting between slim mono-weight and chunky serifed styles via variable controls for thickness, decoration and shape.

About

Designed by Alexander Wright and In-House International and developed by Rodrigo Fuenzalida at FragType, Broker draws on DIY cut-paper lettering to produce something deliberately rough and expressive. Twelve styles are accessible across a variable axis controlling thickness, decoration and shape, moving from square mono-weight through stressed angled cuts to slab-heeled display weights. The modular rectangular frame makes stacking and grid-based layouts straightforward, lending the family to posters, packaging, cover art and motion work.

Classification

Broker is categorised as a display typeface owing to its angular, modular construction and twelve variable styles ranging from mono-weight to stressed and serifed cuts, all built on a rectangular frame for poster and branding use rather than text setting.
