About
Designed by Alexander Wright and developed by Rodrigo Fuenzalida, Zanco runs from a slim, ethereal cut to a heavy-footed version where thickening shadows fill in the lower halves of letterforms, producing a melty, nostalgic quality. Its proportions are named after zancos, the stilts worn by acrobats, and the elongated, narrow stance lends it an art nouveau flavour at lighter weights. The variable axis makes it well suited to brand identities, packaging and poster work where a single font needs to carry across a range of sizes and moods.
