A geometric slab with high-contrast letterforms and square serifs, designed as a companion to Interval Type's grotesque family Riegla.
About
Riegraf takes the construction logic of a geometric grotesque and applies it to a slab serif framework, pairing high-contrast letters with low-contrast numerals that read almost as sans-serif. The result is a 10-style family spanning Light to Black with matching italics, offering alternate uppercase and lowercase characters in italic cuts. Extended Latin and Cyrillic coverage makes it viable across a broad range of European languages.
Classification
Riegraf uses square slab serifs with a geometric construction influenced by grotesque sans-serifs, blending high-contrast letterforms with low-contrast numerals and currencies in a style the foundry calls a Geometric Fusion Serif.
