Rooftop Mono

A monospaced grotesque with squarish curves and a humanist structure drawn from early American grotesque sources such as Lining Gothic and Gothic No. 2.
About
Rooftop Mono takes its cues from Barnhart Bros. and Spindler's Lining Gothic and Palmer & Ray's Gothic No. 2, applying their proportions to a fixed-width format. Slightly squarish curves and a blunt treatment of letters like f, t, r, g and y give it a utilitarian, tech-inflected character without abandoning legibility at small sizes. Three weights cover Regular, Medium and Bold, with coverage across Extended Latin and Cyrillic.
Classification
A monospaced typeface drawing directly from early 20th-century American grotesks, with squarish curves and a humanist construction approach that places it firmly in the grotesque mono subcategory.
