IvyBodoni
Ivy Foundry · Jan Maack

A 21st-century Bodoni drawn by Jan Maack with crisp hairlines and ball terminals, informed by mid-century display faces such as Pistilli Roman and CBS Didot.
About
Designed with fashion and editorial typography in mind, IvyBodoni takes its cues from the high-contrast modern serifs of the 1960s and 1970s, along with lettering artists Mortimer Leach and Tommy Thompson. The family spans six weights from Thin to Bold across standard and condensed widths, with matching italics and two variable fonts covering both weight and width axes. OpenType features include old-style numerals, discretionary ligatures and multiple stylistic sets.
Classification
IvyBodoni is a modern serif in the Bodoni/Didone tradition, characterised by extreme stroke contrast, crisp hairlines, ball terminals and precise curves drawn in homage to mid-century display designs such as Pistilli Roman and CBS Didot.
