About
Designed by Rachel Kriebel as JTD Type's first release, it takes Zhurnalnaya Roublennaya's naive approach to geometric forms as its starting point, toning down the most eccentric letterforms while retaining the underlying character. The family runs across six weights from Hairline to Black, each with an oblique, and OpenType features include round-dot alternates, a double-storey 'a' variant and an alternate 'M' to fine-tune the geometric register. A full set of cap-height symbols is included for UI work, and language support extends across a broad range of Latin-script languages including Vietnamese.
