About
Despite an initial impression of strict, non-designed geometry, JAF Mashine introduces serif-like terminals and unusual stroke joints that give it a distinctive quality within the display register. The family is all-caps in construction, with stylistic alternates accessible by switching between lowercase and capital glyphs to provide visual variation. Twelve styles in total span six weights from Extralight to Extrabold across both the standard and rounded versions.
Classification
An all-caps display family with quasi-geometric construction, but serif-like terminals and unusual joints prevent it from being a pure geometric; rounded versions extend the range further into expressive display territory.
