Klim's first release: a warm humanist serif built on the idea that a straight line is a dead line, fit for book typography and reading.

About

A humanist serif by Kris Sowersby, the first typeface released by Klim Type Foundry, drawn from the principle that 'a straight line is a dead line'. The text weights, Medium, Italic and Bold, are built for book typography and extended reading, with a Display cut tuned for headlines at 16pt and larger. Several fanciful ligatures take their cue from Zuzana Licko's Mrs Eaves, giving the family a touch of bookish warmth that works well on long-form editorial and literary covers.

Classification

Klim classifies it as Modern: Garalde/Oldstyle; built on the principle that 'a straight line is a dead line', giving warm, curvaceous letterforms that humanise digital typography; ligatures inspired by Zuzana Licko's Mrs Eaves.
