Airo specimen from La Bolde Vita

A generously proportioned display sans with monolinear strokes and high-contrast links, spanning expressive display, monospaced and text subfamilies across five weights.

About

Conceived from sketches of the upper- and lowercase 'g', Airo balances a sturdy constructed quality with lively, organic warmth in its standard fluid style, switchable to a harder angular look via stylistic sets. The family divides into three subfamilies: the expressive display cuts, Airo Mono which explores width and technoid-organic contrast, and Airo Text which adds italics, ink traps and narrower proportions for sustained reading. All three share identical weights and vertical metrics for straightforward pairing.

Classification

Airo is a display-oriented sans with monolinear strokes, high-contrast links and generously proportioned letterforms originating from expressive single-letter sketches; it sits clearly in the display/geometric sans space with a technoid-organic character.
