Born from extended calligraphic experiments with a broad nib pen, Unzyale takes the Unzialschrift as a starting point before diverging into a hybrid of traditional handwriting and free letterforms unified by a consistent angle and high contrast. Three optical sizes — Small, Medium and Large — differ in contrast, form and spacing, making the family workable across headline, large-format and graphic pattern applications. A monolinear stylistic set swaps the calligraphic diacritics and punctuation for a cleaner, contemporary register, and fancy ligatures alongside swash alternates add further compositional range.
