LTR Federal specimen from LettError

A display family drawn in the manner of US Federal Bureau of Engraving and Printing lettering, extended into several companion styles for shading and optical sizing.

About

Styled after the steel-engraved lettering of American banknote printing, LTR Federal is not a literal revival but a family of related designs that share a high-contrast, engraved character. Companion faces include LTR Federal Bureau, which sits at the intersection of Federal and engraved styles for easier shading use, LTR Federal Reserve Note for a boxed variant, and LTR Federal Optical for optical-size cuts. Together they form a system suited to decorative titling, certificates and any work requiring a currency-adjacent formality.

Classification

Drawn in the style of the US Federal Bureau of Engraving and Printing, with high contrast and steel-engraved shading characteristics placing it firmly in the decorative engraved display category.
