A revival of William F. Capitain's Adtype Series from 1912, redrawn by Göran Söderström as a chunky, good-humoured display slab with calligraphic italics.
About
Based on the Adtype Series as published in the American Specimen Book of Type Styles (American Type Founders, 1912), Capitaine preserves the original's rounded, slightly irregular forms while functioning as a contemporary type family. The roman cuts carry a mellow confidence, while the italics are notably energetic and calligraphic, offering a lively contrast to the upright styles. Three weights from Regular to Black give it range across display, editorial and branding contexts where warmth matters more than precision.
