Trim Poster
Letters from Sweden · Göran Söderström · 2012

A slender display family by Göran Söderström engineered for tight headline setting with diacritics, spanning eight widths from Skinny to Fat.
About
Designed specifically to solve the problem of diacritical marks crashing into neighbouring lines at tight leading, Trim Poster offers two stylistic sets for diacritic variants so Scandinavian characters like Å, Ä and Ö can be set without manual adjustment. Eight widths run from Skinny to Fat with a variable version included in the complete family licence. Updated in 2016 to add lowercase glyphs, making it workable across a broader range of headline applications.
Classification
An extremely narrow display typeface designed specifically for compact headline setting with diacritics in mind, spanning multiple extreme width variants from Skinny to Fat. Its primary function is display and poster use rather than text setting.
