Trim Stencil specimen from Letters from Sweden

A stencil display face by Göran Söderström that takes Knud V. Engelhardt's trimmed-stem letterform concept and applies it across every possible character.

About

Inspired by Danish architect and designer Knud V. Engelhardt, whose trimmed diagonal stems had already influenced typefaces such as Skilt Gothic, Söderström extended the idea further by applying the trimming treatment to all letters, not only diagonals. The result is a single ExtraBold stencil weight with broad Latin character support including extended diacritics and special characters. Part of the wider Trim family, which spans a range of weights from heavy to narrow.

Classification

A stencil display typeface built around the concept of trimming stems and diagonals, derived from the geometric letterform approach of Danish designer Knud V. Engelhardt. Its single-weight, uppercase-focused construction places it firmly in the display category.
