Designed by Bouk Ra and released in 2021, Plage pairs wide uppercase letters with slim, tall-x-height lowercase characters to create a lively rhythm across six styles. Three weights run across both Text and Display subfamilies, and the 794-glyph set includes multiple stylistic sets, alternates and ligatures that let users vary the pace and texture of a setting. The beach and surf references in its specimen are deliberate, making it well suited to seasonal campaigns, editorial titles and brand identities with a loose, warm character.
