About
Part of the Glypheon collection, a four-subfamily project themed around metamorphosis and Pokémon evolution, Spinelo is the text-oriented member of the group. Antique Olive is the acknowledged reference point, lending the design its soft terminals, organic rhythm and quiet distinctiveness at small sizes. Twenty stylistic sets across 1,719 glyphs give designers considerable room to vary the typeface's character without switching families.

The foundry describes Spinelo as sitting between humanist and grotesque, inspired by Antique Olive, with rounded edges and organic shapes typical of humanist grotesque hybrids.
