A stencil display family by Romain Oudin built around car culture, with reverse contrast, two width variants and shifted oblique cuts called 'decalic'.

About

Released in 2020, Vroum GTI offers four typefaces across two widths (A and B) and two weights (Light and Bold), each with a 'decalic' oblique counterpart for a total of eight styles. The design draws on tire tracks, road markings and automotive aesthetics, using a double stencil structure and reverse contrast to produce a typeface suited to large-scale, high-impact display work. Circled numbers, arrows and pictograms are included alongside 344 glyphs covering broad Latin-script language support.

Classification

A display typeface with double stencil construction and reverse contrast, explicitly designed for large-scale typographic use with car and motorsport theming. The 'decalic' oblique variants and stencil cuts place it firmly in the display category.
