LL Geigy Duplex
Lineto · Robert Huber

A uniwidth variable grotesque derived from LL Geigy, engineered so that every glyph occupies identical space across all weights and styles, eliminating text reflow when switching between them.
About
Designed by Robert Huber, LL Geigy Duplex applies the duplex model — a principle from hot-metal typesetting — to a contemporary variable font spanning Light to Black with matching italics. Because spacing and kerning values are fixed across the entire weight and style range, designers can switch weights or animate between them without any layout shift. This makes it particularly suited to screen interfaces where buttons, labels or running text need to transition between weights without redrawing surrounding content.
Classification
