A text companion to the display face LL Prisma, reverse-engineered from its multi-line geometry back towards a functional geometric sans with improved legibility.
About
Developed initially as a custom commission for Lausanne's Plateforme 10 museum cluster in 2016, Robert Huber extended the family to a full release in 2021 with italics and a bold weight. Subtle adjustments to letter-shapes, proportions and contrast improve compactness over the display original, and the caps-height is raised to match the ascenders. A separate Low variant preserves LL Prisma's original shorter uppercase forms for pairing with the display typeface.
Classification
A geometric sans-serif with humanist text refinements, developed as a companion to the display typeface LL Prisma and sharing a lineage with Rudolf Koch's Kabel. Subtle optical adjustments to proportions and contrast distinguish it from purely constructed geometric designs.
