LL Simple specimen from Lineto

A monospace text typeface by Zurich studio NORM, originally drawn for their densely typeset 2002 publication and released publicly in 2000.

About

Designed by Dimitri Bruni and Manuel Krebs of NORM, LL Simple offers three weights — Light, Regular and Bold — each with a matching oblique, plus four titling versions. It was built for reading at small point sizes and proved its utility as the exclusive corporate typeface for Köln/Bonn Airport after being expanded into a proportional variant. A proportional redraw as a fully functional text font is currently underway with the assistance of Giliane Cachin.

Classification

LL Simple is explicitly described as a monospace typeface family, designed for text use at small sizes, with a later proportional expansion for corporate use.
