LL Sinaloa
Lineto · Rosmarie Tissi, Céline Odermatt · 2024

A fully authorised digital revival of Rosmarie Tissi's 1974 Letraset alphabet, characterised by parallel-line letterforms and open counters that broke decisively from Swiss Style convention.
About
Originally drawn by Tissi in 1972 and first published through Letraset's Letragraphica collection in 1974, Sinaloa spent decades circulating in unauthorised digital versions until Tissi reclaimed her rights from Monotype and terminated those releases in 2020. The new version, prepared in collaboration with type designer Céline Odermatt, expands the original fifty-odd characters to over two hundred and includes remodelled diacritics, punctuation and optically adjusted stripes. Available both as a digital font and in a limited-edition dry-transfer sheet.
Classification
An experimental display alphabet built from parallel lines and open counters reminiscent of stencil letterforms, originally designed as a departure from Swiss Style conventions and not fitting any conventional serif or sans-serif classification.
