LL Supreme specimen from Lineto

A from-scratch geometric sans drawn by Arve Båtevik that reconstructs Renner's underlying principles for Futura rather than reviving any existing version of it.

About

Each weight was drawn separately rather than interpolated, giving each cut its own identity within the family. Båtevik studied Renner's original 1925 drafts and 1927 Bauer metal types to define letterform curves and resolve formal problems across weights, then added historical stylistic alternates as a reference to the source material. The result sits closer to the idea behind Futura than to any particular physical or digital edition of it.

Classification

Explicitly constructed from straight lines and circular curves in the tradition of Futura, making it a textbook geometric sans. The foundry frames it as a reconstruction of Renner's underlying principles rather than a revival.
