LL Typ 1451
Lineto · Nico Schweizer, Maurice Göldner · 1998

A digitisation of a DIN-standard plastic drawing template that Nico Schweizer used as a child, revised and extended with italics in 2019 alongside Maurice Göldner.
About
Originally released in 1998 as four weights traced from a numbered plastic lettering stencil, the family was substantially reworked in 2019 into ten cuts spanning five weights with matching italics. The revision, carried out with Maurice Göldner, redrew the regular styles to meet contemporary screen standards while preserving the constructed, single-stroke character of the source template. The DIN reference number on the original stencil gives the typeface its name.
Classification
Derived from a DIN-standard plastic drawing template, the letterforms carry the constructed, single-stroke character of technical stencil lettering rather than a conventional grotesque or geometric tradition.
